Dyno Nobel Limited in Helidon, Queensland, is seeking an Assembly Operator to operate various equipment safely and efficiently to produce a range of explosive products shipped directly to mine sites across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

The role involves on-the-job training, full-time afternoon shift (3pm–11pm), Monday to Friday, in a safety-first environment. A current driver’s licence is required, with opportunities for career progression within Dyno Nobel.

The Role

Due to exciting growth within our Helidon Assembly Plant, we are looking for motivated, ambitious individuals who are willing to undertake full on-the-job training to join our high performing, dynamic team.

Becoming an Assembly Operator will see you operate various pieces of equipment in a safe and efficient manner to produce a variety of quality explosive products, which are shipped directly to mine sites throughout Australia and Asia Pacific.

What you’ll bring

• You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
• A solid commitment to promoting and championing a Zero Harm safety culture in the workplace
• Assemble high quality explosive products using state of the art fixed plant
• Communicate quality issues to your Team Leader
• The adaptability to learn and undertake training for new equipment, technology and processes
• The ability to obtain a QLD Explosives Security Clearance (including national police check)
• Basic numeracy and literacy capability, with the ability to communicate effectively with your team and line leaders
• Current Drivers licence
