Job summary

Mixquip Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking an assembler fitter to build bespoke machined components, motors and drive systems from engineering drawings and work instructions. You will check fit and alignment, complete documentation, and prepare finished equipment for dispatch while maintaining a safe, tidy workspace.

Qualifications

• Practical mechanical aptitude and the ability to handle hand tools and measuring devices.
• Follow engineering drawings and work instructions with care.
• Maintain quality, safety and cleanliness in the workspace.

Responsibilities

• Assemble bespoke machined parts, motors and drive systems per drawings and work instructions.
• Check component fit, alignment, fastenings and overall assembly quality.
• Complete assembly records, job docs and quality sheets accurately.
• Identify and communicate defects or assembly issues.
• Clean finished equipment and package securely for dispatch.
• Maintain a safe, tidy and organised work area.
• Work with the team to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard.

Job description

Hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, five days per week
Second-year apprentices are also encouraged to apply.

About the role

You’ll assemble bespoke machined components with motors and drive systems, taking care at each stage to ensure the finished equipment meets our quality requirements. Your work will cover assembly, documentation, quality checks and preparation for dispatch.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assembling bespoke machined parts, motors and drive systems in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions.

Checking component fit, alignment, fastenings and overall assembly quality.

Completing assembly records, job documentation and quality check sheets accurately.

Identifying and communicating any component defects, discrepancies or assembly issues.

Cleaning finished equipment and packaging it securely for dispatch.

Maintaining a safe, tidy and organised work area.

Working closely with the team to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard.
