Job summary

Preformed Line Products Australia is seeking permanent full-time Assemblers to join our manufacturing team in Sydney. Roles cover day shift (6am-2:30pm Mon-Thu & 6am-12pm Fri) and afternoon shift (2:30-11:00pm Mon-Thu & 12-6pm Fri), with a view to long-term career development.

You will assemble a range of metal switchgear products to spec, operate tools safely, and work within a supportive team that values reliability, problem solving, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with technical assembly within a manufacturing environment is preferred (but not essential) and training will be provided.
• A logical and systematic approach to work.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Safety conscious; and
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble a range of metal switchgear products according to documented specifications.
• Produce assemblies within allocated timeframe.
• Identify and resolve any assembly issues.
• Assist with packaging of assembled products.
• Operate tools and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.

$31.27 (day) – $35.96 (a/shift) per hour

About the Opportunity:

The business is undergoing significant growth and is looking to appoint permanent full-time Assemblers to join our manufacturing team on day shift (6am-2:30pm Mon-Thu & 6am-12pm Fri) & Afternoon Shift (2:30-11:00pm Mon-Thu & 12-6pm Fri).

General Responsibilities:

• Assemble a range of metal switchgear products according to documented specifications;
