Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking an experienced ASIC Design Engineer for Adelaide, Sydney or Melbourne, with hybrid or remote work options across Australia. The role spans architecture through to implementation and verification of digital ASICs.

You will collaborate with FPGA, firmware, hardware and systems engineers on technically challenging projects, involving RTL development, verification and timing analysis.

• Review designs and contribute to design optimisation.
• Develop technical documentation and design specifications.
• Support integration, debugging and verification.
• Identify and resolve technical design issues.

Our client is an established Australian design services consultancy, headquartered in Adelaide, delivering complex engineering and technology solutions to clients across Australia.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced ASIC Design Engineer to join their engineering team and work across a range of technically challenging projects.

The Role

As an ASIC Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing digital ASIC solutions from architecture through to implementation and verification. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop high-performance and reliable digital systems.

The role will provide the opportunity to work across a variety of projects while contributing to technical architecture, RTL development and ASIC design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop ASICs for complex digital systems.

About You

You will have a strong background in ASIC or digital design, with experience developing complex digital systems.

Ideally, you will have experience with:

• ASIC design and RTL development.
• Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
• Digital architecture and microarchitecture.
• RTL design, synthesis and timing analysis.
• ASIC verification and simulation.
• FPGA development and digital systems.
• Design tools and semiconductor development flows.
• Working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
