Job summary

The resources HUB is seeking an experienced Asbestos Removal Supervisor in Western Australia to lead removal crews and oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring safety and compliance across projects.

You will plan activities, allocate tasks, monitor PPE use, containment, and waste handling, and provide practical guidance to crews while maintaining high safety standards for workers, clients and the environment.

Qualifications

• Proven asbestos removal experience with non-friable and friable materials.
• Experience supervising removal crews or leading teams in hazardous environments.
• Must hold a recognised asbestos removal supervision qualification and related asbestos removal qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate asbestos removal crews, allocating tasks according to project requirements and worker competency.
• Oversee asbestos removal within the authorised scope of work, including non-friable and friable materials.
• Plan daily site activities, equipment and resources to keep projects organised and progressing safely.
• Ensure work areas are isolated with appropriate signage, barriers and containment.
• Monitor compliance with asbestos removal control plans, safe work procedures and site requirements.
• Check PPE and respiratory protection usage and the correct handling of specialized equipment.
• Oversee waste packaging, labelling, storage and disposal arrangements, including decontamination.
• Lead toolbox talks and provide clear guidance to team members.
• Identify hazards, respond to site changes and stop work when safety controls are compromised.
• Coordinate with project contacts and specialists on site progress and air monitoring.
