Job summary

Breakthrough Group in Cairns is seeking an experienced Asbestos Estimator to join our team for managing projects from estimating through to completion in Far North Queensland.

You will conduct site inspections, estimate, plan and coordinate resources, and ensure all safety and compliance requirements are met on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in asbestos removal, estimating or project coordination.
• Strong understanding of asbestos and WHS requirements.
• Current White Card and Driver's Licence.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and prepare accurate project estimates.
• Plan projects and coordinate labour, plant, equipment and materials.
• Prepare and review ARCPs, SWMS, Supervisor Packs and project documentation.
• Coordinate subcontractors, transport, air monitoring and clearance inspections.
• Liaise with clients, hygienists and contractors throughout projects.
• Identify project risks, variations and scope changes.
• Ensure projects meet WHS, asbestos and company compliance requirements.
• Support HSEQ inspections and ongoing compliance.

Join a growing team and play a key role in delivering asbestos removal projects across Far North Queensland.

We're looking for an experienced Asbestos Estimator to join our team in Cairns. This is a great opportunity for someone who knows the asbestos industry, enjoys working with clients and project teams, and wants to take ownership of projects from estimating through to completion.

You'll be involved in site inspections, estimating, project planning and coordinating the resources required to deliver safe, compliant and efficient asbestos removal works.

The Role

About You

• Previous experience of minimum 1 year asbestos removal, estimating or project coordination
• Friable and non-friable asbestos removal certification
• Strong understanding of asbestos and WHS requirements
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Current White Card and Driver's Licence
• A practical, hands-on approach and strong attention to detail
