Kraken Sourdough Pty Ltd in Huskisson is seeking a skilled Baker specializing in sourdough bread and pastry to join our dedicated team.

You will inspect ovens and mixers, manage wild starter, shape loaves and bagels, and run the daily bake schedule to ensure all products are ready for opening.

With 2+ years in artisan baking and a Certificate III/IV in Baking, you’ll uphold food-safety standards and deliver consistent, high-quality results.

Competenze

• Certificate III or IV in baking with 2+ years' relevant experience, or 3 years in substitute.
• Experience with artisan sourdough breads and pastries.
• Strong dough-handling and shaping skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to meet daily opening deadlines with attention to detail.

Mansioni

• Inspect ovens, mixers and work areas at each shift start to ensure safe, hygienic production.
• Assess ingredients for freshness and scale to recipe for daily bakes.
• Feed and manage the starter and plan overnight and long-ferment schedules.
• Mix, divide, pre-shape and hand-shape sourdough for various products.
• Run the daily bake schedule and finalize products for display.
