Big Loaf Factory Bakery in Perth, WA is hiring a baker for morning and afternoon shifts in a full-time role. You’ll work on our production line, mixing and shaping artisan breads, with sourdough at the core of our craft.

We're looking for hands-on bakers with 5+ years in artisan production, strong sourdough knowledge, and the ability to mentor junior team members. Join a serious kitchen that celebrates slow fermentation and precise technique.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience with artisan bread
• Comfortable with sourdough production
• Reliable, fast-paced, team-first mindset
• 5+ years in an artisan production environment
• Deep sourdough knowledge — fermentation, shaping, troubleshooting
• Experience leading or mentoring a small team
• Can own a shift independently

Responsibilities

• Mix and bake artisan and specialty breads — sourdough is our foundation
• Follow recipes and production procedures with precision and consistency
• Maintain a clean, organised kitchen with real food safety discipline
• Work as a reliable part of a shift team — communication matters as much as craft
