  • Qualifications such as ARO or Work Safety Officer are desirable.
  • White Card is required.
  • Firearms Licence (A&B) is highly desirable or willing to obtain.
  • Eligibility to obtain an ASIC.
  • CA SA Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC) or ability to obtain one.

BA Aviation specialises in delivering tailored consultancy and operational services across aviation environments, including Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) duties, Wildlife Hazard Management, and Airport Environmental Planning. About the opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) with a passion for aviation safety and wildlife management for an opportunity.

Whether you have experience as a Wildlife Biologist, Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO), or Wildlife Management Officer (WMO), this role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic environment. Internal training and support will be provided to ensure your success.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

Although you will commence as a casual employee, this role is intended to transition to a full-time position, subject to performance and business requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A strong understanding of wildlife behaviour and its implications for aviation safety
  • Field experience demonstrating situational awareness in airside and aircraft environments (desirable)
  • Experience or confidence with radio communications, ideally VHF (Ground and Tower)
  • Qualifications such as Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) or Work Safety Officer (desirable)
  • A General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • A Firearms Licence (Category A & B) – highly desirable or willing to obtain
  • Eligibility to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
  • CASA Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC) or the ability to obtain one
This position requires you to be an Australian citizen and subject to a Police check.
