Job summary

The Retail Liquor Specialists Group is recruiting an Area Manager to oversee three Cellarbrations Stores in the ACT. You will report to the Operations Manager and rotate through stores to lead, coach and manage staff, ensuring high service levels and store presentation.

Key duties include staff development, driving profitability and ensuring WHS standards across all ACT locations. Applicants should have 3–4 years in store management, relevant qualifications, and a current RSA license.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate IV in Business/Management/Leadership or equivalent.
• Proven ability to manage people effectively.
• 3–4 years’ experience in a store manager role.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to coach staff on the job.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol Qualification (ACT).
• Driver’s Licence (current).
• Ability to lift medium to heavy weights for extended periods.

RLSG is currently recruiting for an Area Manager to manage the activities of its three Cellarbrations Stores in the ACT. Reporting to the Operations Manager the Area Manager is responsible for 1) the efficient day to day running of the ACT liquor stores 2) working in the stores on a rotational basis 3) providing guidance to second in charge, part time and all team members; and as such has responsibility to:

• a) Manage and develop staff to deliver a high level of customer service
• b) Mentor fulltime position to ensure customer service and store presentation
• c) Maximise the profitability and viability of the store/s
• d) Manage and ensure that all WHS standards are maintained in each store
