Job summary

Bob's Bulk Booze in Cairns, Queensland, is seeking a Retail Manager to oversee store operations, lead a customer-focused team, and drive sales growth in a busy liquor retail environment.

The role requires liquor retail experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication. You will manage staff, merchandising, and stock, with weekend and evening shifts. RSA and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the smooth running of the liquor store(s) to high standards.

• Assist other local satellite stores with management needs.
• Liaise with the business coach on operational matters.
• Monitor HR policies and ensure staff compliance.
• Responsible for all retail staff and rostering.
• Prepare displays and stock, including pricing and ticketing.
• Maintain stock control and assist with stock transfers.
• Ensure cleanliness and staff presentation standards.

Exciting news!!! Bob's Bulk Booze is looking for the next mate to join Queensland's largest independent liquor group as a Retail manager at its store in Cairns!

Main Duties:

Managing the smooth-running operations of our liquor store(s) to the highest standards.

Creating and enhancing our teams customer service ethos, imparting your liquor industry knowledge in the crucial areas of customer service, product display and management, team building and marketing implementation.

Assisting other local sites with the management needs of satellite stores.

Liaise with the team business coach in relation to any retail operational matters.

Monitoring defined Human Resource Management Policies and Procedures

Responsible for all retail staff

Preparing displays and presenting stock, including specials and ticket writing

Ensuring that staff are informed of day-to-day duties

Pricing of stock and maintaining stock control

Picking stock for internal transfers

Maintain cellar or liquor store in good order with a high standard of cleanliness

Monitoring defined staff presentation and grooming standards

Other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by management

Experience required:

Liquor experience highly preferable

Strong understanding of sales principles and customer servicepractices

Approximately 45 hours per week is expected in this salaried hands-on position and will include weekends and evening work.
