Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

The Area Lead Warehouse is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a designated warehouse area, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, handling, and movement of materials. This role provides hands‑on leadership to warehouse personnel, maintains compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards, and ensures product integrity throughout the warehousing process.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations within the assigned area to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records across warehouse management systems, ensuring inventory integrity within PVC and AMB warehouses.
• Coordinate, assign, and monitor daily work activities to achieve operational, quality, and service targets.
• Oversee the accurate receipt, scanning, storage, and movement of materials in accordance with established procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, regulatory, and operational requirements, including GMP and warehouse standards.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues, escalating risks and exceptions as required to maintain business continuity.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records relating to inventory transactions and material movements.
• Train, coach, and support team members while assisting with audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent vocational/technical qualifications combined with significant relevant industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse, logistics, or shipping operations within a global or regulated manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring team members, leading shift-based operations, and assigning and monitoring work activities.
• Experience using SAP and warehouse management systems for inventory control, material tracking, scanning, and stock accuracy management.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical warehousing best practices, current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and safe work permit requirements.
• Proven ability to support audits and inspections, maintain accurate records and documentation, train operators on standard processes, and proactively identify and elevate operational issues.
