Job summary

PO Box Designs in Victoria is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator for a full-time role. The primary focus is MIG welding of aluminium and stainless steel to produce premium architectural components, with TIG welding for finer detail when required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of metal fabrication and welding experience.
• Strong MIG welding of aluminium and stainless steel demonstrated.
• Competent TIG welding for fine detail work.
• Ability to read technical/CAD drawings and specifications.
• Good attention to detail with high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision MIG welding of aluminium and stainless steel as the primary task.
• Carry out TIG welding when required for detailed or specialty applications.
• Fabricate and assemble architectural metal products to workshop drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret detailed fabrication drawings, cutting lists, and QC checklists.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to maintain finish and accuracy standards.
• Safely operate workshop equipment (saws, linishers, presses, grinders, etc.).
• Support site installation preparation or assembly tasks when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in line with company policies and SWMS.
