Job summary

Populous is seeking a Technical Lead in Sydney to provide technical leadership across complex architectural projects. You will guide design through documentation and construction, ensuring code compliance and buildability while coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires 8–15 years in architectural practice with strong BIM and Revit skills, and a deep understanding of NCC and Australian standards.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in architecture from a recognised university.
Current Architectural Registration in Australia (desirable).
Approximately 8-15 years' professional experience in an architectural practice.
Experience leading the technical delivery of complex architectural projects.
Strong knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards and accessibility requirements.
Advanced BIM and Revit proficiency; digital design workflows.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across projects, coordinating buildable design solutions.
Lead the technical development from design through construction documentation.
Ensure compliance with codes, standards and client brief throughout delivery.
Review drawings, models and documentation for quality and consistency.
Mentor team members and support project teams in technical excellence.
Coordinate interfaces across structure, façade, services and interiors.
