Job summary

Metal Art & Design is seeking an experienced Qualified Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator for architectural metalwork. Based at the Corio workshop with regular site work across Geelong, Surf Coast and Melbourne, you’ll fabricate from shop drawings, weld to high standards and ensure precise finish.

You’ll read drawings, weld (MIG/TIG where required), measure and finish components, while solving on-site issues and maintaining quality throughout.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate custom architectural metalwork from shop drawings
• Read and follow detailed shop drawings
• Perform MIG and TIG welding
• Measure, mark, cut, drill, weld, grind and finish components
• Produce neat welds and high-quality finished products
• Fabricate with visible welds, alignment and surface finish in mind
• Check dimensions, squareness, alignment and finish during fabrication
• Identify problems before they become rework or installation issues
• Complete site installations across Geelong, Surf Coast and Melbourne
• Problem-solve and adapt to site conditions while maintaining design quality
• Collaborate with builders, supervisors, other trades and team on site
• Handle finished products carefully to avoid damage
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop environment
• Take pride in delivering work ready to hand over to client
