Job summary

Metal Art & Design is seeking an experienced Carpenter/Builder for hands-on workshop fabrication and site installations in Geelong VIC. You will travel to sites across Geelong, the Surf Coast and Melbourne, ensuring precise fitting of architectural metalwork.

Role suits someone with strong set-out skills, attention to detail, and pride in quality finishes on high-end projects. Full-time with pay negotiable depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified Carpenter, Builder or experienced tradesperson with site installation experience.
• Current manual driver’s licence and White Card.
• Strong ability to read and follow shop drawings and architectural plans.

Responsibilities

• Install architectural metalwork including handrails, balustrades, window shrouds and screens.
• Accurate site set-out and installation; verify dimensions before fabrication.
• Read shop drawings and align products to architectural plans.
• Prepare components and assist fabrication as needed.
• Coordinate with builders and other trades on site.
• Ensure clean, high-quality finishes and handover-ready installations.
