Job summary

GHA Solutions is seeking a reliable Manufacturing & Assembly Technician to join our Smithfield facility in Sydney. This hands-on role will involve the manufacture, fabrication and assembly of specialised architectural glass door hardware, including FSW and HSW systems, door locks and related hardware.

You will read technical drawings, measure and machine components to tight tolerances, operate workshop equipment, and perform quality checks.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery.
• The ability to read measurements and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• A reliable attitude and willingness to learn.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Experience in aluminium fabrication, metalworking, glazing or similar industries is advantageous.
• Previous experience with architectural glass hardware is not essential; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing and assembling FSW (Folding Sliding Wall) systems
• Preparing and assembling HSW (Horizontal Sliding Wall) systems
• Cutting, machining and assembling custom glass door rails
• Manufacturing and preparing glass door locks and other specialised hardware
• Operating workshop machinery including saws, drills and milling equipment
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Measuring and machining components to accurate tolerances
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet our standards
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop
