Endeavour Build is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to join our growing design team. You will work across a diverse range of residential projects—from secondary dwellings to larger new-build developments—with a hands-on role in design, documentation and construction outcomes.

Collaborating with the Design Manager and site teams, you will develop architectural drawings, co-ordinate with consultants and prepare material for marketing.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in residential architectural design and documentation.
• Bachelor of Design (Architecture) or equivalent qualification.
• Advanced ArchiCAD skills with 3D modelling and full documentation sets.
• Strong knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards, planning controls and council requirements.
• Proven ability to produce detailed residential construction documentation.
• Practical, construction-focused design approach for budget-conscious builds.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication and collaborative approach.
• Current driver's licence and own vehicle for site visits.

About The Role

Endeavour Build is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to join our growing design team.

Working closely with our Design Manager, you will be involved across a diverse range of residential projects — from our established range of secondary dwellings through to larger‑scale new‑build developments including single dwellings, dual occupancies and townhouse projects.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys both the creative and technical sides of residential design, with the opportunity to have genuine input into the development of our designs, documentation and construction outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Design and documentation

• Develop and document Endeavour Build's range of 14 secondary dwellings, refining the standard designs as market requirements change.
• Prepare and maintain architectural drawings, construction details and documentation for authority lodgement and construction.
• Develop practical, cost‑effective design solutions that can be built on site.
• Assist with finishes and materials selections, schedules and specifications.
• Prepare design material for marketing and sales, including plans, renders and presentation material.

Project delivery

• Support projects from concept and feasibility through to detailed design, approvals and construction.
• Coordinate documentation with consultants, suppliers and internal teams.

Collaboration and site

• Work closely with the Design Manager, Estimator, Site Supervisors and trades.
• Attend site as required to review outcomes, resolve construction queries and help with design changes.
• Build a strong understanding of how designs become built outcomes, and apply construction feedback to future designs and documentation.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about residential architecture and design, with strong technical skills and an understanding of the realities of residential construction.

Essential

• At least 5 years' experience in residential architectural design and documentation.
• Bachelor of Design (Architecture) or an equivalent qualification.
• Advanced ArchiCAD skills, including 3D modelling and full documentation sets.
• Strong working knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, planning controls and council requirements.
• A proven record of producing detailed residential construction documentation.
• Sound knowledge of residential construction methods, materials and detailing.
• A practical, construction-focused approach to developing designs that can be built on budget.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings and documentation.
• Ability to manage several projects at once and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication, and a collaborative approach with clients, consultants and site teams.
• A current driver's licence and your own vehicle for site visits.

Desirable

• Experience preparing CDC and DA applications in NSW, including BASIX and bushfire (BAL) requirements.
• Experience designing secondary dwellings or granny flats under the NSW Housing SEPP.
• Experience producing architectural renders and presentation imagery (e.g. Twinmotion, Lumion, Enscape).
• Experience with Programa.
