Qualifications

• At least 1 year work experience.
• Local residential experience on high quality private residential projects.
• Demonstrated capability in conceptual design, construction and tender documentation.

• High-level AutoCAD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural designs and highly detailed drawings, both by hand and using CAD, per client specs.
• Undertake inception and concept design tasks, including 3D modelling, aligned with briefs.
• Draft, execute and adjust client contracts and design documentation for consultations.
• Prepare detailed documentation for planning approvals, building applications, tenders and construction.
• Compile reports on feasibility, site plans, proposals, applications, terms and costs.
• Design within budgets, council rules and planning requirements.
• Liaise with contractors and construction personnel to ensure designs are implemented on site.
• Collaborate with engineers, quantity surveyors and technologists.
• Conduct site inspections and design reviews to ensure built outcomes match drawings.

Position Overview:

The firm delivers integrated services spanning architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, master planning and graphic design, with projects across the education, healthcare, defence, government, commercial and residential sectors.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Prepare architectural designs and highly detailed drawings, both by hand and using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applications, in accordance with client specifications;
• Undertake inception and concept design tasks, including 3D modelling, aligned with project and client design briefs;
• Draft, execute and adjust client contracts and design documentation in response to specific consultations and evolving client requirements;
• Prepare detailed architectural documentation for planning approvals, building applications, tenders and construction;
• Prepare and compile reports on project feasibility, site plans, project proposals, applications, contract terms and cost estimates, including location and detailed particulars of the proposed works;
• Design within constraining factors such as project budgets, local council legislation, town planning requirements and environmental considerations;
• Liaise with contractors and construction personnel to ensure designs are correctly interpreted and implemented on site;
• Work closely with a team of professionals including building services engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors and architectural technologists;
• Conduct site inspections and design reviews to monitor construction progress, resolve design queries and ensure built outcomes align with the approved documentation.
