Job summary

Vabasis Pty Ltd. in Brisbane seeks an Architect/Graduate to lead modular design documentation and ensure buildable solutions for Education, Health and Housing sectors.

You will transform concepts into production-ready drawings and collaborate with clients, consultants and manufacturers. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of architectural design and documentation experience, strong Revit/BIM skills, and solid knowledge of Australian regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in architectural design and documentation.
• Strong proficiency in Revit, BIM and clash detection.
• Excellent understanding of Australian building regulations and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design and construction documentation suitable for manufacturing and onsite assembly.
• Produce high-quality working drawings, schedules, specifications, and technical details.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other consultants.
• Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, local codes and policies.
• Participate in client meetings, design workshops, and project presentations.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in modular design methodologies and documentation standards.

Architect/Graduate - Modular Design and Documentation

Architect/Graduate of Architecture – Modular Design & Documentation

We are seeking an Architect or Experienced Graduate of Architecture to join our team. This role is ideal for an Architect/Graduate who is passionate about innovative construction methods, prefabrication, and delivering high-quality documentation that supports efficient project delivery.

You will play a key role in the design and documentation of modular buildings across Education, Health and Housing, ensuring projects are buildable and compliant. Working closely with clients, consultants, manufacturers, and project teams, you will help transform concepts into well-documented, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design and construction documentation suitable for manufacturing and onsite assembly.
• Produce high-quality working drawings, schedules, specifications, and technical details.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other consultants.
• Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, local codes and policies.
• Participate in client meetings, design workshops, and project presentations.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in modular design methodologies and documentation standards.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience in architectural design and documentation.
• Strong proficiency in Revit, BIM and Clash Detection.
• Demonstrated experience producing detailed construction documentation.
• Excellent understanding of Australian building regulations and construction practices.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable but not Essential

• Experience in modular, prefabricated, or off-site construction.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication, or Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) principles.
• Experience with Government Projects - Education, Health and Housing.
