Job summary

Labourpower Recruitment Services Pty Ltd is seeking an Accounts Receivable Team Leader to manage the Billing Team of a large transport & logistics business in Port Botany. The ideal candidate will lead a 3-person AR team, own end-to-end AR, drive cash flow outcomes and ensure accuracy, compliance and great service to all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Business
• Proven experience leading an AR function
• Strong people leadership with a hands-on style
• Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management
• Commercial, outcomes-focused approach
• Advanced Excel and solid financial systems experience
• High attention to detail, organised and calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the AR team
• Oversee billing, cash application and collections
• Improve cash flow and reduce bad debt
• Monitor customer accounts and manage credit risk
• Approve credit limits, manage escalations, disputes and payment plans
• Support audits, month end and reporting
• Deal with escape queries from internal and external stakeholders
• Drive process improvement across shared services
