Job summary

The City of Greater Geraldton is seeking a Team Leader Aquatics to manage daily operations of its aquatic facilities in Geraldton. You will supervise lifeguards and staff, ensure safety standards are met, and deliver high-quality customer service.

You will recruit, train and manage staff rosters, coordinate space usage, and oversee pool plant operation. This role requires pre-employment medical screening and a commitment to safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in aquatic facility operations.
• Lifeguard and pool operations qualifications preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patrons around the pool and surrounding areas to maintain safety and enjoyable experience.
• Recruit, train and manage lifeguards and aquatic staff; prepare rosters for all hours.
• Coordinate pool space usage and ensure clear signage and roped-off areas.
• Oversee emergency response and align with policies, guidelines and industry standards.
• Assist with operation of Foreshore Water Park and Doc Docherty Swimming Pool as needed.
