Job summary

Dickson Aquatic Centre, ACT, is seeking an experienced Aquatic Operations Coordinator to lead safety, risk management and operational excellence in a busy aquatic environment. This full-time permanent role supports the Centre Manager in delivering safe and efficient aquatic operations.

You will foster a strong workplace health and safety culture, manage incidents and inspections, and ensure compliance and accurate records are maintained in day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Current Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Working with Children Check (or equivalent).
• National Police Check.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of WHS/OHS legislation and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hazard prevention and safety initiatives across the facility.
• Conduct hazard inspections, risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor safety, risk and environmental performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Support incident and accident investigations.
• Ensure emergency equipment is maintained and operational at all times.
• Maintain accurate compliance and safety records.
