Job summary

Northern Grampians Shire Council is seeking an experienced Aquatic Facilities Maintenance Officer to support the safe and compliant operation of our aquatic facilities. The role focuses on plant operation, water quality, maintenance schedules and minor repairs, based at Stawell Sports and Aquatic Centre with seasonal duties at St Arnaud Outdoor Pool.

Qualifications

• Experience in aquatic facility operations or related field.
• Knowledge of water quality monitoring and safety requirements.
• Experience coordinating with contractors and external services.
• Strong organisational skills and record-keeping.
• Commitment to safety and high maintenance standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain aquatic plant, equipment and building systems.
• Ensure water quality meets standards and compliance guidelines.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance and minor repairs.
• Coordinate maintenance with Building Maintenance Team and contractors.
• Maintain documentation, procedures and preventative maintenance plans.
• Provide support for events and seasonal operations.
• Assist with staff induction and training.
