Job summary

Talent International is recruiting for an APS6 Support Needs Assessor to work for a Federal Government client based in Gosford/Port Macquarie/Tamworth. The role is a 6-month contract with a potential extension.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments with participants and families, ensuring person-centred, trauma-informed practice while aligning with legislation and operational frameworks to support access to needed services.

Qualifications

• Evidence of one of the listed allied health qualifications.
• Experience in disability and support needs assessment practices.
• Understanding of person-centred planning and assessment processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct support needs assessments with participants and representatives.
• Analyse and interpret information to inform decisions.
• Prepare clear assessment reports with accuracy.
• Apply policies and guidelines with sound judgement.
• Communicate processes and outcomes clearly in person or virtually.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support planning outcomes.
• Utilise digital systems to capture information and outcomes.
• Deliver assessments across settings while adapting to participant needs.
