About the role

You’ll support the planning and delivery of ICT project activities, ensuring work remains aligned with agreed priorities, milestones and timeframes. The role requires sound organisation, initiative and the ability to manage competing demands across multiple workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate ICT project activities, plans and schedules against agreed priorities and milestones.
• Maintain project artefacts, including action, risk and issue registers, decision logs and delivery records.
• Monitor deliverables, dependencies and actions, following up with stakeholders and escalating risks or delays as needed.
• Coordinate governance meetings and prepare agendas, papers, minutes, actions, status reports and briefings.
• Gather and consolidate information from technical and business teams to support accurate project reporting.
• Build effective relationships across multidisciplinary delivery teams and internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication and stakeholder input to support issue resolution and project progress.
• Prepare clear briefs, correspondence, presentations and other project documentation for varied audiences.
• Support prioritisation, planning and oversight of resourcing needs and interdependencies.
• Contribute to improving project processes, templates, tools and ways of working.

About you

You bring demonstrated experience supporting projects in a complex ICT or digital delivery environment, along with the confidence to work with stakeholders across technical, business and delivery teams. You’re proactive, highly organised and comfortable identifying emerging risks and escalating matters appropriately.

• Strong project coordination skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple workstreams.
• Experience maintaining project plans, schedules, reports and risk, issue and action registers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including preparing governance documentation, briefs and reports.
• Sound judgement, initiative and problem-solving capability.

Experience in an Australian Government ICT environment, familiarity with contemporary project management and governance practices, or exposure to Agile and hybrid teams will be well regarded. Knowledge of tools such as Jira and Confluence is also advantageous.
