Job summary

The Administrative Review Tribunal is seeking an APS6 Librarian for a non-ongoing role until 30 June 2027, with potential for extension. Based in Melbourne or Sydney, the hybrid, full-time position may accommodate three days per week for part-time arrangements.

The APS6 Librarian will manage legal library collections and provide high-quality research and reference services. Eligible applicants must have tertiary qualifications in library/information management and ALIA membership, with

  • Essential: tertiary qualifications in library and/or information management recognised for Associate membership of ALIA.
  • Experience delivering high-quality legal research, reference and current awareness services.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the library collection for the nominated Registry and support users with research and reference services.
  • Provide updates on new and relevant information, database training and access to digital resources.
  • Deliver library training and user education programs.

We are seeking an APS6 Librarian for an anon-ongoing role until 30 June 2027, with the possibility ofongoing employment.

Based in Melbourne or Sydney, this hybrid position is availablefull-time, with part-time arrangements of at least three days perweek also considered.

Remuneration: The annual salary range forthe position is APS6: $99,734 - $111,701 p.a., plus a generousemployer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.

About the opportunity

Library Services is a national team that provides Tribunarmembers and staff with the information and resources they need todo their work. The Librarian manages the collection for theirnominated Registry and supports users through research andreference services, updates on new and relevant information,database training, and access to digital resources.

About you:

To be successful you will have:

  • Experience managing legal library collections and librarymanagement systems
  • Ability to provide high-quality legal research, reference,and current awareness services.
  • Strong judgement and research skills to deliver accurateand timely information.
  • Experience developing and delivering library training anduser education programs.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise tasks, andmeet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in library and/or informationmanagement that are recognised for professional (Associate)membership of the Australian Library and InformationAssociation.
