Job summary

Softtest pays pty ltd seeks a Scrum Master in Canberra to enable high-performing Agile teams responsible for ICT projects. The role focuses on applying Agile principles, removing blockers, facilitating collaboration, and supporting continuous improvement within the team and its stakeholders.

The successful candidate will drive sprint ceremonies, coach teams and Product Owners, and ensure delivery is tracked with clear metrics and governance reporting.

Qualifications

• NV1 security clearance is required and must be current at submission.
• APS 6 level experience or equivalent is expected.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile Delivery: Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement.
• Coach team members, Product Owners and stakeholders on Agile principles and practices.
• Support development of high-performing, cross-functional teams.
• Promote accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
• Proactively remove impediments to delivery.
• Escalate issues through governance channels when required.
• Prepare reports for governance forums and steering committees.
• Track and report Agile metrics like Velocity and burn-down charts.

Job details:

The Scrum Master is responsible for enabling high-performing Agile teams to deliver business value by applying Agile principles, removing impediments, facilitating collaboration, managing risks and dependencies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the section which maintains multiple ICT projects.

Candidates must hold NV1 security clearance. Please note our only option in the portal is to select 'must be able to obtain and maintain' but NV1 must be current at time of submission for candidate to be eligible.

This RFQ is for APS 6 level only.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Agile Delivery facilitation includes Sprint Planning Daily Standup, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives and Backlog Refinement.
• Coach team members, Product Owens and stakeholders on Agile principles and practices.
• Support the development of high-performing, cross-functional teams.
• Encourage a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.

• Track and communicate Agile metrics including: Velocity, Sprint predictability, Burn down/Burn up charts and delivery progress.
