Job summary

Australian Department of Veterans' Affairs in Brisbane, QLD is seeking a Program Officer to support Open Arms service provision and assist the Team Leader with coordinating administrative and mental health clinical services for clients.

Qualifications

• Currently hold or be able to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People registration or a Working with Children check.
• Australian citizenship is required to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS).
• Pre-engagement screening checks and Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performance reporting: data extraction for preparation and distribution of performance, financial, rostering and telephony reports across workgroup functions.
• Assist with processing of administrative and technical functions for Client Assist and day-to-day operational support.
• Support a cohesive working relationship within the team to align service delivery with national standards.
• Assist in line management of administration staff, including performance feedback and training needs.
• Monitor quality of work and conduct QA activities; undertake desktop, call audits, live supervision and provide feedback summaries.
• Support financial requirements and obligations, including invoice processing and maintaining records.
• Apply APS values and department mission, vision, approach and values.
• Contribute to rosters for business hours and shift workers following fatigue management and enterprise agreements.
• Assist onboarding and cessation of staff, including access requests and ICT equipment.
• Contribute to service delivery through queue management oversight and frontline call handling of administrative calls.
• Coordinate Daily Update and other staff communications, attend standups and meetings.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and business partners on policy, project or operational issues.
