Job summary

The Australian Department of Defence in Williamtown, NSW, is seeking an APS 6 Contract Management Officer to oversee procurement, contracting and lifecycle management across the Air Warfare Systems Program Office (AWSPO).

You will work with Product Managers, technical specialists and finance to ensure compliance, monitor performance and manage procurement planning, contract establishment, variations and closure.

Qualifications

• Manage commercial and contractual aspects of procurement and contracting.
• Monitor contract performance, milestones and risks.
• Provide commercial advice and governance across procurement activities.
• Engage with stakeholders including product managers, project managers, finance and legal.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full contract lifecycle from planning to closure.
• Ensure compliance with Defence procurement policy and ITAR-related considerations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and invoice validation.
• Maintain governance, records management and reporting arrangements.
