Job summary

The Andersen Partnership in Sydney is seeking a Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting to own the APRA reporting end-to-end for a customer-owned bank. You will lead the prudential reporting cycle, respond to regulatory changes, and drive automation while reporting to the Head of Finance.

You will collaborate with CFO and senior leaders, supervise a direct report, and ensure accurate, on-time lodgement of APRA returns through APRA Connect. Strong leadership and regulatory expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience owning APRA reporting for an ADI.
• Strong knowledge of APRA prudential and reporting standards.
• Ability to turn complex regulatory requirements into practical reporting solutions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication with senior stakeholders.
• People leadership capability.
• Degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the preparation, review and lodgement of all APRA returns through APRA Connect, on time and accurately.
• Maintain a strong governance, reconciliation and control framework across all submissions.
• Monitor changes to prudential and reporting standards, assess their impact and lead implementation.
• Own the bank's regulatory reporting platform from a Finance perspective, driving further automation and reporting quality.
• Partner with Finance, Treasury, Risk, Credit, Data, Technology and Compliance teams.
• Present reporting outcomes and regulatory developments to senior leaders.
• Coordinate internal and external audit of regulatory reporting.
• Lead and develop a direct report, building capability in the function.
