Job summary

1300 Apprentice is seeking a motivated first-year apprentice for a Certificate III Automotive Underbody Technology at our Miranda workshop in Southern Sydney. You’ll gain hands-on experience in welding, metal fabrication, and repairs on trailers, caravans, and towable vehicles while completing formal TAFE studies.

You'll work with experienced tradespeople, participate in a range of projects, and develop practical trade skills under supervision.

Qualifications

• Interest in welding, fabrication and hands-on work.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
• Commitment to completing apprenticeship with TAFE studies.

Responsibilities

• Learning welding, metal fabrication and repair techniques.
• Assisting with design, construction and repair of trailers and towable vehicles.
• Working with different materials, tools and workshop equipment.
• Developing practical trade skills under supervision of experienced tradespeople.
• Attending TAFE and applying learning in the workplace.
• Contributing to custom projects and specialised repairs.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures.
