Job summary

RØDE is seeking an Apprentice Toolmaker to join the Engineering Operations (Toolroom) team in Parramatta, NSW. You will undertake a 4-year Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade, working alongside qualified Toolmakers to learn moulds, tooling, and precision component fabrication.

You'll develop skills in interpreting drawings, operating workshop machinery, and adhering to safety practices while supporting production and repairs on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Must commence a full-time apprenticeship in January 2027.
• Interest in Toolmaking or mechanical/manufacturing trades and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Proactive attitude to training, feedback and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist Toolmakers to manufacture and repair moulds, dies and precision tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions under supervision.
• Operate workshop machinery and hand tools with guidance.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized toolroom environment.
• Support production needs and participate in repairs or modifications as required.
• Complete on-the-job training and TAFE/trade school study requirements.
