Job summary

MRAEL in Adelaide is offering a full-time apprenticeship for the Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade. You will work in a brand-new, purpose-built workshop with exposure to modern CNC lathes and milling machines, while being mentored through to trade completion.

Qualifications

• Experience or exposure to CNC machining (lathes/mills).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, programming, and operation of CNC lathes and/or milling machines.
• Manufacture high-precision components.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic fault-finding.
• Overhaul gearboxes, conveyors, pumps and driveshafts.
• Dismantle, clean, measure, and assess parts.
• Support small machining jobs and general workshop activities.
• Maintain workshop upkeep and occasional local deliveries.

What you'll be doing:

• Assisting with set-up, programming, and operation of CNC lathes and/or milling machines
• Manufacturing high-precision components

Training & Support:

You'll be employed by MRAEL and supported by a dedicated Apprentice & Employment Consultant, providing:

• Ongoing mentoring and performance support
• Coordination of all off-the-job training
• Regular check-ins to support your progress through to completion
