Job summary

Velocity Truck Centres Laverton (Daimler Trucks Laverton) invites motivated individuals to join as Apprentice Technicians or Apprentice Auto Electricians in 2027. You’ll pursue either Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Automotive Electrical Technology, earning a nationally recognised Certificate III while gaining hands-on experience with Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner and Fuso.

Qualifications

• Interest in automotive industry.
• Willingness to commit to TAFE studies.
• Manual driver's licence (or ability to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Complete a 4-year apprenticeship earning a national Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Automotive Electrical Technology.
• Gain hands-on experience servicing, diagnostics and repairs on a range of vehicles.
• Support qualified technicians and follow manufacturer procedures and industry best practices.
• Maintain a safe, organised and tidy workspace while learning.
• Learn and work with experienced teams to develop technical skills.
