Job summary

Tamworth Regional Council is seeking an Apprentice Operator – Transport Operations for Barraba and Manilla. This role offers a pathway to a Certificate III in Civil Construction and a chance to earn while you learn in a supportive team.

The apprentice will assist in civil construction, follow supervisor instructions, and perform daily checks as part of a 38-hour week with a salary range negotiable based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• P1, P2 or C Class Driver Licence (Manual Licence Required).
• Higher School Certificate or Record of School Achievement (RoSA).
• Immunisations for Tetanus, Hepatitis A & B or willingness to undertake.
• Ability and willingness to obtain a Certificate III in Civil Construction.
• Ability to work effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the provision of competent and efficient civil construction practices whilst completing studies in Certificate III in Civil Construction.
• Following and interpret instructions as directed by the supervisor.
• Carry out daily routine checks, monitoring and maintenance activities.
