Job summary

Kempsey Shire Council is offering an Apprenticeship for an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter within our Water and Sewer Maintenance Team. You will gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade and learn from experienced Mechanical Fitters to become a qualified tradesperson.

Qualifications

• Completed Year 10, Year 12 desirable.
• Transcript of educational studies with your application.
• Interest in mechanical trades and public service.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured on-the-job training and coursework.
• Complete all requirements of the Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
• Assist with servicing, maintenance and repair of water and wastewater assets.
• Learn about mechanical systems and equipment used by the Council.
