Job summary

Bega Group is seeking an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter to join our Ridge Street site. You will train on the job under experienced leaders while completing formal TAFE coursework for a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade).

The role requires reliable transport, a 4-year commitment, and a willingness to learn in a hands-on environment. On-site work from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and continuous skill development within our established

Qualifications

• Minimum Year 10 or equivalent.
• Willingness to undertake a 4-year training program.
• Aptitude in mechanical reasoning and problem solving.
• Reliable, honest and committed with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Work with tradespersons to develop skills and diagnose equipment faults.
• Develop safety risk assessment skills for maintenance tasks.
• Learn to diagnose and rectify process plant breakdowns and propose improvements.
• Attend TAFE and complete required modules on time with good results.
