Job summary

Berendsen Fluid Power at the Perth Airport workshop is seeking an Apprentice Fitter & Machinist to join the Wetherill Park team in Sydney, starting December/January. You will gain hands-on experience in hydraulic cylinder repair and rebuild while learning from seasoned technicians in a large-scale workshop.

You will learn to read technical drawings, assist with inspection, disassembly and reassembly, and rotate through our cylinder service exchange program to build a broad skill set for a

Qualifications

Year 10 High School Certificate is required.
Curious about how machines and mechanical systems work.
Comfortable with maths and good with your hands.
Careful and precise—accuracy matters in this trade.

Responsibilities

Work alongside senior fitters and machinists on hydraulic cylinder repair and rebuild.
Learn to read technical drawings and schematics.
Assist with inspection, disassembly, and reassembly of hydraulic cylinders.
Get hands-on with stripping benches, honing equipment, and hydraulic test rigs.
