Job summary

Power Protect in Penrith, NSW is offering a 2027 Apprenticeship Program for an Apprentice Electrical Technician. This on-site role provides hands-on learning with qualified technicians and structured progression toward an electrical trade qualification.

You’ll gain experience across a range of electrical systems, participate in maintenance, installation, testing and fault-finding, and develop practical skills while following safety practices. Australian citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• HSC or higher required; White Card preferred or to be obtained before start.
• Genuine interest in electrical work and building a long-term career in the trade.
• Good safety awareness and ability to follow instructions.
• Australian citizenship is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, servicing and maintenance of UPS, generators, control circuits and related equipment.
• Assist experienced technicians with fault finding and repairs under supervision.
• Learn to recognise hazards and implement safe working practices.
• Learn to use electrical test equipment and digital service tools.
• Record work performed, times and basic quotations or estimates.
• Support facility maintenance activities and develop practical skills while following safe work practices.
