Job summary

Lindsay Australia Group in Erskine Park is offering a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice role. You’ll learn on the job alongside experienced technicians, work on a modern fleet, and gain the skills needed to become a qualified tradesperson.

You’ll attend TAFE as part of your apprenticeship, progress toward a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, and have opportunities for dual-trade pathways within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Year 10 or higher.
• Genuine interest in trucks, engines and heavy vehicles.
• Reliable, hardworking and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles and trailers.
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
• Support breakdown and accident repairs when required.
• Work with modern workshop tools, equipment and diagnostic technology.
• Complete maintenance and repair documentation.
• Follow safe work practices and maintain a clean work environment.

We're looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team in Erskine Park, and start a rewarding career as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice. This is your opportunity to learn from experienced technicians, work on a modern fleet, and gain the skills needed to become a qualified tradesperson. You'll get hands‑on experience with leading brands including Kenworth, DAF, Cummins, and BPW, while learning everything from routine servicing and preventative maintenance through to diagnostics, repairs, and breakdown support. What You’ll Be Doing

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice, you'll learn on the job while working alongside experienced technicians.
