Job summary

Lindsay Australia Group is offering a 2027 Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice program in Virginia and Adelaide. You’ll learn on the job, service heavy vehicles, diagnose faults, and complete maintenance with modern workshop tools.

You don’t need to be an expert; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key. Year 10 or higher, safety-minded, reliable, and capable of teamwork will help you succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing and repairing heavy vehicles and trailers.

• Complete maintenance and repair documentation.
• Attend training and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

You'll get hands-on experience with leading brands including Kenworth, DAF, Cummins, and BPW, while learning everything from routine servicing and preventative maintenance through to diagnostics, repairs, and breakdown support. What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice, you'll learn on the job while working alongside experienced technicians.

You will:

• Assist with servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy vehicles and trailers.
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
• Support breakdown and accident repairs when required.
• Work with modern workshop tools, equipment, and diagnostic technology.
• Complete maintenance and repair documentation.
• Follow safe work practices and maintain a clean work environment.
• Attend TAFE and workplace training as part of your apprenticeship.
