Job summary

Lindsay Australia is offering a 2027 Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice program in Coffs Harbour. You will learn on-the-job with experienced technicians, work on a modern fleet and complete a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

You’ll gain hands-on training with brands like Kenworth, DAF, Cummins and BPW, attend TAFE/workplace training, adhere to safety standards and contribute to a busy workshop environment at Lindsay’s nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Interest in trucks, engines or heavy vehicles.
• Hands-on approach and good manual skills.
• Willingness to learn and commit to the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing, maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles and trailers.
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
• Support breakdown and accident repairs when required.
• Work with workshop tools and diagnostic technology.
• Complete maintenance and repair documentation.
• Attend TAFE and workplace training as part of the apprenticeship.

We're looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team in Coffs Harbour and start a rewarding career as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice.

This is your opportunity to learn from experienced technicians, work on a modern fleet, and gain the skills needed to become a qualified tradesperson.

You'll get hands-on experience with leading brands including Kenworth, DAF, Cummins, and BPW, while learning everything from routine servicing and preventative maintenance through to diagnostics, repairs, and breakdown support.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice, you'll learn on the job while working alongside experienced technicians. You will:

• Assist with servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy vehicles and trailers.
