Job summary

MRAEL in NSW is seeking an Apprentice Chef to learn under experienced chefs in a commercial kitchen. You will work at host venues, assisting with prep, cooking and presentation while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

The program includes full uniform and toolkit, tailored training, mentoring with six-week check-ins, and the chance to gain experience at more than one employer.

Qualifications

• Eager and motivated individual with a passion for food and learning.
• Good communication skills and initiative in daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of dishes.
• Operate kitchen equipment under supervision.
• Learn different knife and cooking techniques.
• Clean, maintain and store kitchen equipment.
