Job summary

RGM Maintenance in Rocklea, Queensland is seeking an Apprentice Boilermaker to join our team. This permanent, full-time role offers hands-on experience in metal fabrication and assembly, contributing to high-quality automotive components.

You will work alongside experienced tradespeople, gaining hands-on experience in welding, chassis work, CAD interpretation and workshop tool usage in a safe, supportive environment.

• Willing to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople

• Previous workshop, welding or fabrication experience is advantageous but not essential

Responsibilities

• General metal fabrication
• Welding using MIG and TIG
• Chassis modifications to new and used trucks
• Chassis extensions and shortening
• Fabrication and installation of truck bodies
• Building Tipper Bodies, Curtainsiders, Beavertails and Flat Trays
• Reading and understanding drawings
• Learning to interpret CAD drawings
• Using a range of workshop tools and equipment
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Completing job paperwork and record keeping
