Job summary

Banjo's Bakery Cafe in Glendale, NSW is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Baker/Pastrycook for a full-time apprenticeship. You will learn traditional baking techniques, pastry craftsmanship, and kitchen operations while working hands-on in our busy bakery.

You'll be trained by experienced bakers, earn an apprenticeship wage, and develop a valuable skill set in a supportive, inclusive team environment that values growth and quality.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and mixing dough using both traditional methods and modern equipment
• Baking a variety of breads, cakes, pastries and other baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards
• Learning pastry techniques including lamination, filling, decorating and plating
• Assisting with production scheduling and ensuring timely completion of daily baking tasks
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the bakery and kitchen areas in accordance with food safety regulations
• Operating and maintaining bakery equipment safely and effectively
• Learning inventory management and stock rotation procedures
• Assisting with decorating cakes and creating attractive product displays
• Working collaboratively with the kitchen and cafe team to meet customer demands
• Receiving feedback and guidance from senior bakers and continuously improving your skills

Banjo's Bakery Cafe is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Apprentice Baker/Pastrycook to join our baking team in Glendale, NSW. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career in the baking and pastry industry whilst working with experienced professionals in a busy, dynamic bakery environment. This is a full-time apprenticeship position where you will learn traditional baking techniques, pastry craftsmanship, and the fundamentals of professional kitchen operations. You will be based at our Glendale location, working hands-on in our bakery to develop your skills under the guidance of our master bakers.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and mixing dough using both traditional methods and modern equipment
