Pilz Australia Industrial Automation in Mulgrave VIC is seeking an Applications & Technical Support Engineer to blend engineering expertise with customer support, solving real-world machine safety challenges for a global leader.

You will design and implement safety and automation solutions, provide specialist guidance, troubleshoot issues, support sales with technical input, deliver training, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Engineering degree or equivalent is required.
Experience in technical support, application engineering or industrial control systems.
CPEng certification or eligibility is advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good communication.

Responsibilities

Application Support: design, configure and implement machine safety and automation solutions with Pilz products.
Technical Guidance: advise on machine safety and control systems to help customers apply products safely.
Technical Support: provide high-quality support and troubleshoot issues to resolution.
Sales Support: assist Sales with technical input, quotations and proposals.
Training & Knowledge Sharing: deliver technical training to customers and colleagues.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement: create docs and improve support processes.
Reporting & Insights: analyse support activity and provide management with trends.
Warranty & Product Feedback: manage warranty investigations and feedback for improvements.
Industry Engagement: represent Pilz at events and customer forums.
