Job summary

Quest Oracle Community is seeking an Application Support Specialist for a fixed-term contract in Sydney CBD with a hybrid work arrangement. You will resolve escalated incidents, manage third level escalations, and liaise with clients to optimise business systems usage.

The role requires 2+ years in application support, ITIL certification, and strong SQL Server/Oracle IIS and Azure skills, with a focus on documentation and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology.

Responsibilities

We have an exciting Application Support Specialist role with one of our clients. The client organisation has supportive leaders and a collaborative culture focussed on continuous improvement. They are looking for an Application Support Specialist who is passionate about technology as well as Customer Engagement.

Fixed Term Contract until June 2027 with a potential to extend

Location : Sydney CBD with a hybrid work arrangement

Responsibilities:

• Manage the resolution of all escalated incidents relating to business systems to meet agreed service levels.
• Manage the escalation of third level incidents to appropriate suppliers.
• Foster collaborative relationships with clients to understand how business systems are used, and to effectively and efficiently resolve questions and problems.
• Administer the user account management process to ensure agreed access rights are granted for the business systems.
• Provide customised reports, liaising with suppliers if necessary, to meet user requirements.
• Participate in user acceptance testing to ensure that user access rights are aligned with the production system.
• Maintain and update systems documentation as required.
• Identify software upgrade requirements and coordinate upgrade deployments following configuration and change management processes.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of application support experience
• ITIL v3/v4 certified with extensive Level 2/3 application administration expertise supporting complex enterprise business systems
• Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle databases, IIS administration, and Azure technologies (highly desirable).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to produce clear technical documentation
• Excellent attention to detail
• Adept at working with strict deadlines
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology
