The role of the Application Support Team Leader is to:

  • Own team workload planning and prioritisation, and manage performance against agreed KPIs and service levels, acting as the first point of escalation for the team.
  • Represent the Application Support Team in stakeholder and governance forums across GHA member health services.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management and professional development for the team.
  • Oversee the team's contribution to system testing, training and go-live support, and ensure implementation, change management and training materials are delivered to a consistent, quality standard.
  • Champion consistent, best-practice service delivery and continuous improvement, contributing to the strategic direction of the Application Support function.
About you

  • Completed education to Year 12 level (or equivalent) and a current driver’s licence.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a team within an ICT support or service delivery environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team, fostering growth, accountability and a positive team culture.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across a complex, multi-agency organisation.
  • A working understanding of hospital and clinical processes and how information systems support and enable service delivery.
  • Experience leading the delivery and ongoing administration of clinical and corporate applications through a team, with sound knowledge of best-practice ICT service delivery and support models.
  • Desirable: ITIL Foundation certification, a leadership or management qualification (e.g. Certificate IV in Leadership and Management) or equivalent experience, and prior experience in a health environment.
