Kinetic IT is seeking Expressions of Interest for Application Support Engineers to join us for an upcoming opportunity in Canberra, Australia. You will contribute to day-to-day operational support, application administration, and complex troubleshooting across enterprise applications and platforms, with opportunities for technical leadership and service improvement.

Role requires Citizenship and AGSVA NV2 clearance; the work includes collaboration with Architecture, DevOps and Service Management

Qualifications

• Experience ranging from Service Desk, Contact Centre or entry-level ICT support through to advanced enterprise application and platform support.
• Strong customer service, communication, teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Analytical thinking and technical troubleshooting capability appropriate to your level of experience.
• Experience with application, web, database or infrastructure technologies is desirable.
• Knowledge of ITIL or experience working within structured service management environments is desirable.
• A commitment to learning, knowledge sharing and continual improvement.
• Experience in Government, critical infrastructure, regulated or complex operational environments is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Manage or assist with incidents, service requests and technical problem resolution.
• Perform application administration, monitoring and operational support activities.
• Support testing, maintenance, patching, releases, deployments and application validation.
• Maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles and support artefacts.
• Contribute to service improvement, lifecycle planning, security, compliance and risk management activities.
• Support application onboarding, transition and knowledge management activities.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable customer and service outcomes.
• At senior levels, lead complex investigations, provide technical guidance and mentor developing engineers.
• At associate levels, participate in structured training and capability development while providing hands‑on operational support.
